Zineddine Belaïd gets a second chance with Saint-Trond
Former Algerian international Zineddine Belaïd will have a second chance with the Belgian club K. Saint-Trond VV.

Reported to be on his way out, the 26-year-old defender will try to revive his career in Belgium after a rather complicated 2024-2025 season due to the passing of his father.
The native of Thénia has his work cut out for him as he hopes to get back into Vladimir Petkovic's plans, with the ambition of participating in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and possibly the 2026 World Cup.

Trained at Nahd Hussein Dey, he joined USM Alger in 2020. He wore the Algiers club's jersey 137 times, recording 15 goals and 5 assists.
In 2024, he moved to K. Saint-Trond VV for a fee of 600 thousand euros, while also being tracked by Egyptian club Al Ahly.
