Former Zamalek president Mamdouh Abbas's made bold promise to the club’s loyal fans: 2 high profile signings at the end of the season, as tensions rise over the expected departure of Ahmed Zizo.

With Zizo’s contract expiring this summer and renewal talks stalling, multiple reports suggest the star winger has already signed with rivals Al Ahly deepening the crisis within the White Castle.

"I Will Not Let You Down" – Abbas Sends Message to Fans

In message shared on X, Abbas wrote:

"To the great fans of Zamalek, I promise you on my honor to bring in two major signings that will make us all forget the pain of betrayal our club is facing. Thank you"

Zizo’s Exit Sparks Club Reaction

Reports confirm that Zizo's signed official contracts with Al Ahly & received his U.S. visa, hinting at participation in the upcoming club world cup with the red devils.

In response Zamalek’s board removed all images of Zizo from the club’s training grounds, signaling internal decision to cut ties. He was also left out of the squad for Wednesday’s confederation cup clash against Stellenbosch, following directives from the club hierarchy.

Zizo Fires Back

On Tuesday, Zizo released strongly worded statement accusing the club’s management of failing to handle his contract renewal properly. He denied signing for any other club but noted he would remain committed to Zamalek until his final contracted day.
