DR Congo will host Togo on Friday in a match counting for the 9th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Trailing Senegal, the solid leaders of Group B, by two points, the two-time African champions will be looking to secure three crucial points that could put them in contention for a playoff spot, should they finish second in the group stage.

Without Afimico Pululu and Grady Diangana, both sidelined through injury, head coach Sébastien Desabre will still have plenty of options when naming his starting eleven.

According to the latest reports, he is expected to go with the following lineup: Bertaud - Wan-Bissaka, Mbemba, Batubinsika, Masuaku - Sadiki, Moutoussamy, E. Kayembe - Elia, Bakambu, Wissa

As a reminder, these two teams have faced off 13 times in the past. The Leopards have come out on top 11 times, with Togo claiming just one win, and only one match ending in a draw.
