Brazil officially announces two friendlies against Australia

The Brazilian national team, led by Carlo Ancelotti, will play two friendly matches against Australia on September 25 and 29. These fixtures are part of the Seleção’s preparations for the 2030 World Cup qualifiers and the 2028 Copa América.

The first match will take place at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, while the second clash is set for Suncorp Stadium, a venue that can host nearly 52,500 spectators.

These two games will mark the first meeting between the two sides since 2017. In their last encounter, Brazil cruised to a 4-0 victory in a friendly.

The head-to-head record heavily favors the Seleção, who have claimed six wins in eight meetings. The remaining two matches ended in a draw and an Australian victory, achieved at the 2001 Confederations Cup.

Brazil’s preparations won’t stop with this double-header against the Socceroos. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will continue their build-up with a friendly against India in early October, set to be played at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium.
