2026 World Cup - Argentina: Lionel Messi's wife breaks her silence after the final

Antonela Roccuzzo, Lionel Messi's partner, has broken her silence days after a wave of criticism targeting Argentina following their defeat in the 2026 World Cup final against Spain (1-0).

Messi's wife showed her unwavering support for La Albiceleste by sharing on Instagram a message from commentator Connie Ansaldi: "Proud to be Argentinian. In Argentina, we're like a family! We insult each other, but if someone from outside comes to badmouth us, we'll tear out their liver."

Already back home in Rosario with her family, Antonela Roccuzzo also responded to a post by singer María Becerra, who had performed the Argentine national anthem before the final. "Vamos Argentina forever," she wrote.
