Namibia have made a perfect start to their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. In Gaborone, the Brave Warriors got the better of Congo in the opening Group G fixture.

Muzeu makes the difference

In a game that remained tight for a long time, it took just one flash of brilliance to unlock the deadlock. The only goal of the match was scored by Bethuel Muzeu, who headed home emphatically from a precise delivery by Riaan Hanamub. A narrow but valuable win that allows Namibia to move temporarily to the top of the group.
