Aimé Mabika finds a new club in America

Aimé Mabika has found a new destination. The Zambian central defender has signed with Rhode Island FC, a team competing in the US second division.

At 26 years old, Aimé Mabika had been without a club since January, following his departure from Toronto FC in MLS. His contract with Rhode Island runs through June 2025. This presents a great opportunity for him to get back on track after several months away from competitive football. The club announced his arrival on its social media channels.

Trained in the United States, he knows North American football well. His height (1.93m) and positional awareness make him a significant addition to Rhode Island's defense. For Mabika, this is a chance to get back on the pitch and, perhaps, catch the eye of the Zambian national team once again.
