Ajax Amsterdam signs Abdoulaye Camara

Ajax Amsterdam has officially announced the arrival of Abdoulaye Camara. Of Guinean origin, the 17-year-old midfielder joins the Dutch club from Udinese and will begin his journey with the reserve team.

A season to impress

Ajax Amsterdam has decided to take its time with the young player born in Conakry. Camara will first play for the reserves to continue his development and adapt to Dutch football.

The club will have several months to assess his progress before deciding whether or not to trigger the purchase option, which is set at 15 million euros.

A versatile midfield profile

Having spent part of his youth career in France before moving to Montpellier and then Udinese, Abdoulaye Camara primarily operates as a defensive midfielder. He can also play as a box-to-box midfielder and has occasionally been deployed as a central defender. The young talent made his Serie A debut on May 17, 2026, against Cremonese, coming on in the final quarter of an hour.

With Udinese's Primavera team, he played ten matches and provided one assist. This signing is a clear bet on the future by Ajax Amsterdam, giving the young midfielder the time he needs to prove he deserves a lasting place in the squad.
