Egyptian international Emam Ashour now knows the date of his much-anticipated return to action with his club, Al Ahly.

After suffering a nasty clavicle injury during the match against Inter Miami on Matchday 1 of the Club World Cup group stage, the former Al Zamalek player was ruled out for the rest of the tournament.

According to Egyptian sources, the El Senbellawein native will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines lasting between 8 and 10 weeks. His big return to competition is set for August 8, coinciding with the opening day of the new Egyptian Premier League season.
