Al Ahly: Marco Rose in pole position to succeed Marcel Koller


German coach Marco Rose has emerged as the strong favorite to take the helm at Egyptian giants Al Ahly, replacing Swiss tactician Marcel Koller.

Free of any contract since his dismissal from RB Leipzig, the former Hannover 96 player is reportedly the top target for the Cairo-based club.
According to Egyptian media, the African football powerhouse has made significant progress in negotiations with Marco Rose, although no formal agreement has yet been reached.

The Leipzig native has managed several top Bundesliga clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Borussia VfL Mönchengladbach.

With his beloved RB Leipzig, he lifted the German Cup in 2023 and also claimed the German Supercup that same year.
