Al-Nassr: Ange Postecoglou succeeds Jorge Jesus
Ange Postecoglou makes his comeback in Saudi Arabia. Without a club since leaving Tottenham last February, the Australian manager has officially been appointed as head coach of Al-Nassr, signing a two-year contract.
Ange Postecoglou takes over from Jorge Jesus, tasked with maintaining the club's dominance on the domestic stage and targeting Asian Champions League glory. He will be managing none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who is about to work with his sixth coach since joining Al-Nassr, following Rudi Garcia, Dinko Jelicic, Luis Castro, Stefano Pioli, and Jorge Jesus.
In a statement, the Saudi club announced the opening of a "new chapter" with Postecoglou's arrival and wished him "great success" in his new role.
After making a name for himself by winning the Scottish championship with Celtic and then managing Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou now faces a new challenge in the Middle East, where expectations will be sky-high for a squad led by Cristiano Ronaldo.
