Al-Ahly: Rabia turned down an initial contract extension offer!
Al Ahly management has officially offered a contract extension to Rami Rabia, first-team defender, whose current deal expires at the end of this season. This situation allows him to leave the club as a free agent and sign elsewhere without a transfer fee.
According to sources close to the matter, cited by FilGoal, Rabia is now within the free period, which gives him the right to negotiate and sign with any club of his choosing without consulting Al Ahly.

The same source notes that Al Ahly submitted a renewal offer, but the experienced defender rejected it, demanding an increase in his annual salary. Negotiations between the two sides are ongoing and remain intense.
The club reportedly offered an annual salary of 20 million Egyptian pounds, while Rabia initially demanded 35 million. He later showed some flexibility, lowering his request to 30 million per year.
Having come through the club’s youth system, Rami Rabia joined Al Ahly’s academy in 2003 before being promoted to the first team in 2010 by Abdelaziz Abdelshafi. Since then, he has played 337 matches for the “Club of the Century,” scoring 18 goals and providing 8 assists.
