The last line of defense for the "Indomitable Lions" suffered yet another heartbreak on Wednesday, losing with Manchester United the Europa League final to Pape Matar Sarr's Tottenham.
Before the showdown at San Mamés, he had already fallen short with Ajax Amsterdam in 2017, losing to his current club Manchester United in the Europa League final.

He endured a similar fate with Inter Milan in 2023 after losing the Champions League final to Manchester City.

The Cameroonian international is often compared to Raymond Poulidor, the legendary French cyclist dubbed the "eternal second," who frequently finished on the Tour de France podium without ever clinching the overall victory throughout his career.
