Atletico Madrid set sights on Ademola Lookman

Atlético Madrid shows no signs of slowing down in the transfer market. After officially securing Thiago Almada from Botafogo, the Colchoneros have now turned their attention to another major target: Ademola Lookman, Atalanta’s African Ballon d'Or winner.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Madrid club has entered into serious negotiations with the Italian side over the past 48 hours. The asking price: €50 million. Atlético hopes to lighten the initial cost by negotiating flexible payment terms.

With Ángel Correa gone, Simeone sees Lookman as the perfect successor: fast, direct, and tireless in his efforts. Last season, the Nigerian star dazzled with 20 goals and 12 assists in 40 matches, including a hat-trick in the Europa League final. But beware: Inter Milan are also in the race. The battle for Lookman promises to be intense.
