Olympique de Marseille (OM) has set its sights on the Moroccan talent Ayoub Chaikhoun with the intention to recruit him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Approaching the end of his contract on June 30 with his German club Eintracht Frankfurt, the 19-year-old midfielder is attracting interest from major European clubs.
Here are 5 things to know about the new Moroccan target of the Marseille club:
- He joined the Eintracht youth academy in 2018 after stints with BSC SW 1919 Frankfurt (-2015), SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt (2015-2016), and SG Rot-Weiß Frankfurt (2016-2018).
- He participated in 23 matches with the U19 team this season, tallying 5 goals and 11 assists.

- A versatile player, he can operate as a defensive midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder, and a playmaker.
- He is not yet rated by the specialized site Transfermarket.
- He has represented Morocco's U17 and U18 national teams but remains eligible to wear the Nationalmannschaft jersey in the future.
