Barça – Real clásico: Juan García responds about his availability!
Barça fans are wondering about young goalkeeper Juan García's participation in the Clásico against Real Madrid, scheduled for October 26 at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium as part of La Liga.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, García reassured supporters: "My knee is improving day by day and I feel good," he said, referring to his progress in his rehabilitation program following his injury.
Asked about his presence for the Clásico, he added: “My return will depend on time. There’s still a month to go, and we’ll see what happens then.”
Wojciech Szczęsny favorite for the Clásico
As the match approaches, it appears that Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny will be tasked with guarding Barça’s net.
Juan García, who recently joined from Catalan rivals Espanyol, underwent arthroscopic surgery on the cartilage in his left knee at the end of September.
Since his debut with Barça, the 24-year-old goalkeeper has played 7 matches, conceding 5 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets.
