Belgium or the DRC? the "future Kompany" has made his choice

The young defender Daniel Tshilanda Kabongo didn't hesitate much before sealing the fate of his sporting nationality.

Born in Belgium to Congolese parents, the Union Saint-Gilloise U23 player was eligible to wear the jerseys of the "Leopards" and the "Red Devils".

A former international with the Belgian U18 team, the future Kompany, as he is affectionately called, has decided to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the international stage.

At just 18 years old, he will be present with the Congolese U18 team at the next Africa Cup of Nations (U20 CAN) which will take place in Egypt from April 26 to May 18, 2025.

Daniel Tshilanda Kabongo's stats?

During the current season, he has participated in 17 matches with the Union Saint-Gilloise U23 team without scoring a single goal or providing any assists.

A central defender by training, Daniel Tshilanda Kabongo is also capable of playing on the right flank.
