The Swiss adventure is already over for Benjamin Mendy.

Having arrived last winter from FC Lorient, the French left-back and FC Zürich have decided to part ways by mutual consent, as announced by the Swiss club on Wednesday.

At 31, Mendy played only seven league matches for Zürich, starting three times and providing a single assist. Having previously featured for Manchester City, he continues to struggle to reignite his career since returning to the pitch.
