Linked with several clubs during this summer transfer window, Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has opted to extend his stay with Bournemouth in England.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and even Manchester United were all in the race to sign Antoine Semenyo this summer. But, in a surprising turn of events, the Ghanaian forward has renewed his contract with Bournemouth.

Antoine Semenyo still had several years left on his deal, but he has now agreed to an extension from Bournemouth, likely accompanied by a salary increase. His release clause is also expected to rise as a result. His contract, previously set to expire in 2029, will now run until 2030.

"AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce that Antoine Semenyo has signed a new long-term contract with the club, which will run until the summer of 2030," the Cherries said in their statement. "The 25-year-old Ghana international has been a key figure at Vitality Stadium since his arrival from Bristol City in January 2023," Bournemouth added.
