CAF Champions League: Pyramids' road to the final
The Egyptian club Pyramids is aiming for its first Champions League title as they prepare for the grand final of the 2024-2025 edition, where they will face the South Africans.
The first leg of this highly anticipated showdown will take place on Saturday, the 24th, while the return leg is scheduled for June 1.

In the preliminary round, the Heirs of the Pharaohs cruised past Zanzibar’s JKU SC with a commanding 9-1 aggregate score. They then knocked out Rwanda’s APR with a 4-2 aggregate victory.

During the group stage, they finished second in their group behind Espérance de Tunis, collecting a total of 13 points.
In the quarter-finals, the new powerhouse of Egyptian football edged out Morocco’s AS FAR 4-3 on aggregate, before eliminating South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals—drawing 0-0 in the first leg and clinching a dramatic 3-2 win in the return match.
