Champions League: Espérance almost at full strength against Sundowns

Espérance de Tunis will be almost at full strength next Tuesday for the match against South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, which counts for the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

Defeated in the first leg by the smallest of margins, the oldest Tunisian club will attempt to turn the tide in the return match to be held at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès.

Except for captain Yassine Meriah, who is still recovering from his knee ligament injury, all other injured players will be available to coach Maher Kanzari, including right-back Mohamed Ben Ali and Togolese defensive midfielder Roger Ahoulou.

Great news for the "blood and gold" fans who will be out in force next Tuesday, hoping to see their club secure a spot in the semi-finals.

As a reminder, Espérance de Tunis is aiming for another CAF Champions League title after their triumphs in 1994, 2011, 2018, and 2019.
