Pedro Gonçalves revealed this Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the list of 26 Angolan players selected for CHAN 2024. The head coach announced his squad in Luanda, ahead of the tournament scheduled from August 2 to 28 in East Africa.

Pedro Gonçalves has opted for a core group of 23 main players, supplemented by three reserves. Goalkeeper Emanuel Nsesani, midfielder Diógenes, and striker Victorino Polaco are among those called up as reinforcements, although their playing time is not guaranteed. Angola will compete in Group A of CHAN 2024, alongside Morocco, DR Congo, Kenya, and Zambia. The Palancas Negras will kick off their campaign on Sunday, August 3 at 15:00 GMT against Morocco. The technical staff has organized an intensive training camp in Luanda, with tactical sessions focused on defensive discipline and rapid transitions.
