Cheikhou Kouyaté: "The time for retirement hasn't come"
The former midfielder of the Senegal national football team, Cheikhou Kouyaté, does not plan to end his career.

He confirmed this in a statement given to the TFM's Quartier Général show.
I don’t want to join a club just to restart. Respect is earned. I’m doing well, I’m with my family and I continue to work. I hope to find a club where I’ll have peace of mind.
The Dakar native has not found a new club since his time with Nottingham Forest ended.

At 35 years old, the Dakar native is not giving up and hopes to revive his career to reconnect with the Lions in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Trained in his homeland at ASC Yeggo, the former international moved to Europe in the 2006-2007 season with an initial stint in Belgium at FC Brussels.
Throughout his career, Cheikhou Kouyaté has participated in 570 matches, scoring 28 goals and providing 19 assists.
