Chelsea're making rapid strides in their pursuit of Dutch star Xavi Simons with talks over personal terms now advancing positively according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The RB Leipzig midfielder's said to be keen on joining the London club with Romano revealing:

"Xavi's excited by the project and open to joining Chelsea. Direct talks are underway to finalize the contract details"

Chelsea are reportedly pushing to wrap up deal with Simons quickly aiming to agree personal terms before entering formal negotiations with Leipzig.

The player's already informed Leipzig of his desire to leave this summer sparking interest from several European giants most notably Arsenal who're closely monitoring the situation.
