Formerly a Belgian international with youth teams, he recently changed his sporting nationality from Belgian to Moroccan.
In a statement to the official media of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), he was full of praise for the working conditions in Morocco.
The training grounds are top-notch, the atmosphere is top-notch, the coaching is top-notch... I am truly very proud to represent Morocco.
A debut against Niger
The Club Bruges star is set to make his debut on Friday in the match against Niger for the 5th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Suffering from a slight muscle injury, he is expected to be fit for this encounter.
At 19 years old, he has made a name for himself with his Belgian club in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League.
