Club World Cup 2025: Al Ahly to hit the jackpot
Though not entirely convincing on the pitch, Egyptian giants Al Ahly are set to hit the jackpot with their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup.
The African football powerhouse won't be returning empty-handed from their American adventure, as they are set to pocket a handsome sum of $11.5 million.

In addition to the $9.5 million participation bonus for the tournament, Al Ahly will collect an extra $2 million for the two hard-fought draws against Inter Miami (0-0) and FC Porto (4-4).

A wild transfer window on the horizon
This windfall will help the Cairo-based club make key adjustments to their squad ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
After already securing Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and Egyptian internationals Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Al Ahly are expected to be very active in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is highly likely that the Moroccan trio—Achraf Dari, Achraf Bencharki, and Yahia AttiatAllah—will be replaced by new foreign signings.
