Club World Cup 2025: Al Ahly's journey by edition

The Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly holds the record for the most African appearances in the Club World Cup.

They have previously featured in eight editions of the global competition: 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020, 2021, and 2023.

In just a few days, Al Ahly will embark on their 2025 campaign, set to kick off in the United States from June 15. They’re drawn in Group A alongside Inter Miami (USA), Palmeiras (Brazil), and FC Porto (Portugal).

The Egyptian giants have clinched the bronze medal at the Club World Cup four times—in 2006, 2020, 2021, and 2023. With 25 matches played, they also hold the record for the most games contested in the tournament.

In addition, Al Ahly have achieved a remarkable feat by winning 10 matches, topping the list of African clubs with the highest number of victories at the Club World Cup.
