Club World Cup 2025: ES Tunis heads to the United States
On the morning of Wednesday, June 11, the players and technical staff of Espérance Sportive de Tunis set off from Tunis Carthage Airport, bound for the United States to compete in the 2025 Club World Cup.
The announcement was made via a video posted on the club's social media channels. The delegation first made a stopover in Paris before heading to Detroit, where they will set up camp in preparation for their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which will take place from June 15 to July 13.
A squad fired up for the competition
Just before departure, the Tunisian champions appeared calm and excited in images shared on the club’s social networks. Having qualified as Africa’s third-best team between 2020 and 2024, according to FIFA rankings, ES Tunis is aiming for a strong run against top-level opponents. The Tunisian side will compete in Group D, alongside Chelsea (England), Flamengo (Brazil), and Los Angeles FC (United States).
To bolster their ranks for this tournament, the Blood and Gold have done everything possible to secure the signing of Omar Al-Somah. The Syrian international, who currently plays for Al-Orobah FC in Saudi Arabia, has caught the eye of ES Tunis with his impressive performances.
