Club World Cup 2025: FIFA pays tribute to Al Ahly

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has paid a heartfelt tribute to Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly, just weeks before the kickoff of the 2025 Club World Cup.

The world football governing body made sure to highlight the achievements of the Cairo giants, who have clinched their national league title a staggering 44 times.

According to FIFA statistics, Al Ahly stands as the most decorated domestic champion among the 32 clubs set to compete at the 2025 Club World Cup.

They lead the pack ahead of Benfica (38), River Plate (38), Juventus (36), Real Madrid (36), Boca Juniors (35), Bayern Munich (33), Espérance de Tunis (33), and FC Porto (30).

Al Ahly set to break the bank for the World Cup

Drawn in Group A alongside FC Porto, Inter Miami, and Palmeiras, the Egyptian side is planning major signings during the June transfer window.

After bringing in midfielder Hamdy Fathi and winger Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Al Ahly is on the verge of completing the transfer of Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, currently playing for Ferencváros TC.
