The 2025 Club World Cup continues today, Tuesday, June 17, with a brand-new edition that, for the first time, brings together 32 teams on American soil. Four eagerly anticipated matches feature clubs from diverse footballing traditions, each boasting a rich legacy across the five continents.

Borussia Dortmund, representing Germany, kicks off the action in Group F against Brazil’s Fluminense at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, a head-to-head clash between European and South American ambitions.

In the same group, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns meet South Korean side Ulsan Hyundai in a showdown between Africa and Asia, with both teams aiming for a perfect start to the tournament.

Group E, meanwhile, features a highly anticipated encounter between Argentina’s champions River Plate and Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds. On paper, the South American giants seem the favorites, but upsets are always possible in a competition of this caliber.

The day wraps up with a clash between Italy’s Inter Milan and Monterrey from Mexico at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, kicking off at 1:00 a.m. (GMT) on Wednesday. The Italian side, led by new coach Cristian Kivou, is looking to bounce back after their Champions League final heartbreak.
