Club World Cup 2025: What transfer window for Espérance de Tunis?

With just 44 days to go before the kick-off of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Espérance de Tunis has started scouting for top-tier talents to bolster their squad.

The goal is clear: field a highly competitive team for the tournament's final phase, which will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13.

The oldest club in Tunisia is looking to reinforce all three lines of play in order to address certain weaknesses exposed during matches in the Tunisian Ligue 1 and the CAF Champions League.

Among the main targets is the club's former star Youssef Msakni, who is set to become a free agent after his current season with his Qatari club Al Araby comes to an end.

Espérance may also try to secure the return of their former defender Montassar Talbi, provided they can strike a loan deal with his French side, FC Lorient.

Meanwhile, the attacking line could see reinforcement with a new foreign striker to provide cover in case of setbacks for Brazilian Rodrigo Rodrigues or Tunisian Achraf Jabri.
