Club World Cup 2025: Who will coach Al Ahly?
The Egyptian club Al Ahly has launched a race against time to find the perfect candidate for the head coach position.

The latest CAF Champions League winners are determined to appoint a successor to Swiss coach Marcel Koller in the coming days, giving the new manager enough time to properly prepare for the 2025 Club World Cup.
According to the Egyptian site "youm7," four names have made the shortlist: Marco Rose, Roger Schmidt, Carlos Queiroz, and Jose Gomes.
Marco Rose
The German coach has been a free agent since ending his stint with RB Leipzig last March. At 48, he has already managed several top clubs in Germany, including Borussia Dortmund.
Roger Schmidt
He has also been without a club since last August, when he was dismissed by Portuguese giants Benfica. Previously, he coached PSV Eindhoven and Bayer Leverkusen.

Carlos Queiroz
At 72, the Portuguese tactician is a true expert in African football, having managed the national teams of Egypt and South Africa.
Jose Gomes
The Portuguese coach has proven himself wherever he has worked, most recently with Zamalek, whom he managed in 2024.
