Club World Cup 2025: Wydad deprived of key player against Man City

The Moroccan club Wydad will be without a key player for their match against Manchester City, which counts for the opening day of the Club World Cup group stage.

Placed in Group “G”, the Moroccan football giant will also face Juventus (Italy) and Al Ain Club (United Arab Emirates).

According to the Moroccan press, left-back Ayoub Boucheta will miss the match due to a muscle injury.

This is a real headache for coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem, who may turn to the alternative Abdelmounaim Boutouil, the former Mamelodi Sundowns player.

As a reminder, the Casablanca club was very active during the special transfer window, signing several quality players, including former “Atlas Lion” Nordine Amrabat, Dutch defender Bart Meijers, Syrian striker Omar Al Somah, and Burkinabe playmaker Stephan Aziz Ki.
