Club World Cup: Bradley Barcola sets a new record
French player of Togolese descent, Bradley Barcola, claimed a remarkable record after the Club World Cup final held on Sunday evening between PSG and Chelsea.
With an impressive total of 73 matches played for club and country throughout the 2024-2025 season, Bradley Barcola now holds the record for the highest tally across the top five European leagues, tied with the tireless Luka Modrić. Coming off the bench in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea, the former OL player could not prevent Paris from suffering a heavy defeat (0-3) in his 73rd and final appearance of the season.
Nevertheless, the Frenchman still managed to win four major trophies with the capital club this season, most notably the Champions League. At just 22 years old, and less than four years since making his professional debut, the French international (14 caps, 2 goals) now boasts 228 career appearances.
