Daouda Guindo set to join Stade Brestois
Daouda Guindo

Daouda Guindo, currently a free agent, is closing in on a new challenge at Brest. The young Malian left-back has caught the eye of Stade Brestois after a successful trial period. An agreement now appears to be imminent.

After joining RB Salzburg in 2021, where he was loaned out several times in Austria, Guindo was given a trial by Stade Brestois during their summer preparations. His performances in training sessions and friendly matches have clearly impressed the Brest coaching staff. By all accounts, the Malian is set to sign for the Red and Whites in the near future.

A low-risk investment for the future

A free agent since his contract with Salzburg ended, the Malian international represents an enticing opportunity for Brest, who continue to build their squad smartly ahead of the new season. With his athletic profile and ability to push forward, Daouda Guindo could quickly become a credible option in Éric Roy's defensive rotation.

Negotiations between both parties are well advanced, and a deal could be finalized in the coming days. If everything goes according to plan, Daouda Guindo should officially join SB29 soon. This move offers the Malian a chance to relaunch his career in Ligue 1.
