Several African players are making their mark with their respective clubs in this 2024-2025 edition of the Europa League.

In this regard, 3 Africans are featured in the Top 20 ranking of the best players in the European competition, according to statistics from the site whoscored.

They include Nigerian Victor Boniface, the Bayer Leverkusen striker, who holds second place in the overall ranking behind his teammate Florian Wirtz, as well as Egyptian Omar Marmoush who continues to hold the 10th position, despite leaving Eintracht Frankfurt during the last winter transfer window to join Manchester City.

Additionally, Burkina Faso's Bertrand Traoré is positioned at 19th in the ranking thanks to his outstanding performances with Ajax Amsterdam.

Other African players have also distinguished themselves in this Europa League edition, such as Senegal's Ousseynou Niang, the Union St.Gilloise player, and Ghana's Alexander Djiku, the Fenerbahce midfielder.
