Exclusive interview: Yves Diba Ilunga discusses the Mbemba case

In an interview with Foot Africa, former Léopards striker Yves Diba Ilunga shared his thoughts on the situation surrounding DR Congo captain Chancel Mbemba, who was sidelined by his club, Olympique de Marseille, during the 2024-2025 season.

It's true that the way Mbemba was treated does not honor the football world; but we must also show a minimum of respect for Marseille, who invested heavily in the player. Contractual respect is essential for everyone, including strict adherence to the club's internal regulations. I'm happy that my brother can finally find another club where he can flourish.

Where will Mbemba go next?

With his contract expiring on June 30, the Kinshasa native will have plenty of options during the upcoming transfer window.
