Exclusive: Marc Brys will not coach the Emirates

The current coach of Cameroon, Belgian Marc Brys, will not be the new coach of the United Arab Emirates national team.

Having delivered impressive performances with the Indomitable Lions, the Belgian technician was shortlisted for the position of Al Abyad's head coach.

According to Emirati sources, the national football federation has turned its attention to Romanian coach Cosmin Olăroiu, whose contract with his current club, Sharjah Football Club, will expire on June 30th.

Supporters of the Indomitable Lions can breathe a sigh of relief, having feared a catastrophic scenario with the departure of the man who has been instrumental in bringing their national team back to prominence.

Marc Brys' record with Cameroon

The former Saint-Trond coach remains unbeaten with the five-time African champions. In 10 matches played across all competitions, he has achieved a record of 6 wins and 4 draws.
