Ezechiel Banzuzi… 5 things to know about the new dual-national prospect for the "Leopards"

The young midfielder from Oud-Heverlee Leuven, Ezechiel Banzuzi, is on the shortlist of players being tracked by the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA).

At 20 years old, the Zwijndrecht native is eligible to play for both the “Leopards” and the “Oranje”.

• He developed in the youth system of the Dutch club NAC Breda before joining the Belgian side OH Leuven in 2023 for a fee of €1.2 million.

• He has represented most of the Netherlands' youth teams. His latest appearance came in 2024, featuring in the U21 squad's 5-0 win over Macedonia.
• He played 36 matches with OH Leuven during the 2024-2025 season, tallying 3 goals and 6 assists.
• Next season, he'll take the next step in his career with German club RB Leipzig, who signed him for an impressive €16 million.
• His market value is estimated at €10 million according to the specialist site Transfermarkt.
