FC Barcelona: Hansi Flick holds crisis meeting with players

The past week was very complicated for FC Barcelona. The Catalan club fell to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League (4-2), then to Real Madrid in the Clasico in La Liga (2-1). A difficult reality check for Barcelona supporters.

Since then, problems have been raised. This is particularly the case in the defensive department, with possible reinforcements expected during the winter transfer window to strengthen what has been identified as the weakest area of FC Barcelona. There are also problems managing periods of weakness and periods of strength.

Faced with these problems, Hansi Flick’s staff does not want these two defeats to send the team into a negative spiral and spoil everything that has been achieved during the opening weeks of the competition.

Flick organises a barbecue to rally Barça

According to several media outlets, including Mundo Deportivo and El Chiringuito de Jugones, Hansi Flick organised a barbecue on Wednesday evening. The German coach invited his players and staff to a barbecue at the club’s training centre. The aim was to strengthen team cohesion and lift the players’ spirits somewhat.

It was also a small crisis meeting. Raphinha and Rodri, regarded as the team’s leaders, took the floor to deliver speeches aimed at rallying the troops.
