As for Senegal and Ghana, they played to a 1-1 draw, leaving everything to play for in the return leg. With these results, Nigeria, Zambia, and Kenya now hold the advantage heading into the decisive second legs.
Ghana and Senegal, however, will head into their rematch on level terms. The decisive return fixtures are scheduled for July 11 and 12. Only the winning teams will secure their ticket to the World Cup, set to take place in Morocco.
