The 28 year old forward and his brother Andre Silva lost their lives in horrific car accident in Zamora, Spain earlier in Jul. Reports revealed that Jota’s car veered off the road after tire burst leading to the fatal crash.

Married Weeks Before the Tragedy

Cardoso & Jota officially tied the knot on 22 Jun just 3 week before the tragedy struck. The couple'd shared long term relationship since 2013 and were parents to three children.

Touching Tribute on Instagram

Marking 1 month since their wedding, Cardoso posted heartfelt message on Instagram:

"It’s been one month since we said: Till death do us part , I’ll forever be your bride"

The emotional caption was accompanied by wedding photos shared publicly for the first time since Jota’s death.
