After Germany's heartbreaking elimination in the round of 16 at this 2026 World Cup, Julian Nagelsmann's future as head coach has come under scrutiny.

Just minutes after Germany's shock exit to Paraguay (1-1, 3-4 on penalties) in the round of 16 of this World Cup, Julian Nagelsmann made it clear he wants to stay on and continue his mission.

"It's no longer up to me, but I'm ready if they want me. If someone doesn't want me, they'll have to let me know. I want to continue. I'm not the type to run away. I want to keep going, but in football, you can't control everything. If the DFB (the German Football Association, ed.) wants it, I'll prepare for the Euros and the Nations League," Nagelsmann stated at the press conference.

As a reminder, his contract runs until June 2028.
