Historic season .. a new record for Mohamed Salah in the Premier League!
Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's winger, has set a new record in the Premier League, surpassing legends Thierry Henry and Erling Haaland.
During matchday 32 at Anfield against West Ham United, the "Pharaoh" delivered a pinpoint assist to Luis Díaz for the opening goal of the Reds. The Colombian only needed to finish to give his team the lead.
Liverpool eventually secured a 2-1 victory, thanks to a winning goal scored by Virgil van Dijk in the 89th minute with an unstoppable header.
Salah makes Premier League history!
According to the international network Opta, specializing in football statistics, the captain of the Egyptian national team has become the player with the most goal contributions in a single season in Premier League history, with 45 decisive contributions (27 goals and 18 assists).
Mohamed Salah thus surpasses Thierry Henry, who made 44 contributions in the 2002/2003 season, and Erling Haaland, who reached the same total in the 2022/2023 season with Manchester City.
Notably, after this victory against West Ham, Arne Slot's men need only six more points out of the remaining eighteen to be officially crowned Premier League champions.
