Egypt aims to return to the World Cup after missing the last edition held in Qatar.

The Pharaohs have made significant strides towards qualification as they lead their group by 5 points ahead of their closest rival.

The seven-time African champions can secure their World Cup spot as early as September if they manage to collect 6 points from their next two matches against Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.

Back to their best form, the Egypt team under Hossam Hassan has shown great promise in recent matches during the CAN 2025 and World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

On the next matchday, scheduled for September 1, 2025, the Pharaohs will host Ethiopia before facing Burkina Faso away from home.

On October 6, 2025, they will take on Djibouti for the 9th matchday of the qualifiers, finishing the qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau.
