How many points will Ivory Coast need to qualify for the 2026 World Cup?

Ivory Coast aims to reconnect with the World Cup after missing out on the Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 editions.

They are well on their way to rejoining the world's premier competition, as they lead their group with 16 points, edging Gabon by just one point.

The reigning African champion needs to accumulate 9 points (including one against Gabon) to secure their ticket to the North American tournament.

With a formidable squad, Ivory Coast seems well-equipped this time to take the top spot in Group F.

On the next match day, set for September 1, 2025, the Elephants will host Burundi, before facing Gabon, their direct pursuer, away from home.

On October 6, 2025, they will play against Seychelles, also away, before concluding the qualifiers on October 13, 2025, with a home game against Kenya.
