Hugo Ekitike: Agreement reached between Frankfurt and Liverpool

Cameroonian-born forward Hugo Ekitike is set to join Liverpool’s Reds this summer. The English club and Frankfurt have reached a deal.

After a stellar season with Frankfurt, tallying 22 goals and 11 assists in 47 matches across all competitions, Hugo Ekitike has reignited his career. Just a few days ago, an agreement was reached between the striker and Liverpool.

All that remained was for Frankfurt to give their green light. According to The Athletic, that’s now done. The two clubs are ironing out the final details to seal the deal, but everything should be finalized within the next few hours.

Taking bonuses into account, this transfer will become the biggest sale in the German club’s history, surpassing the €95 million received from Randal Kolo Muani’s move to PSG.
