"I don't care about the criticism"... Bakambu fires back at his critics

Congolese international Cédric Bakambu has admitted that he pays no attention to the constant criticism he receives from fans of Real Betis and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

In an exclusive interview with the Spanish outlet "ElDesmarque", “Bakagoal” showed no resentment toward his detractors.

I don't care. It's good to have this kind of pressure because I'm a striker and I need the fans and the media to push me to reach a higher level. I'm 34, I've had a career, and it's not the first time this has happened to me. The only way forward is to keep working.

Cédric Bakambu's season in numbers

In 41 appearances during the 2024-2025 season, the Ivry-sur-Seine native has scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists. He will be looking to finish the season on a high by winning the Conference League final against Chelsea on Wednesday.
