Now retired, the Loum native spent most of his career in Europe, with stints in Greece, Belgium, Turkey, and Germany.

In an interview given to the platform “Passi Foot Invest,” he denounced the lack of recognition he received with the Cameroon national team, despite consistently finding the back of the net.
I was above everyone. With all due respect to Samuel Eto’o, I was better than him. That season, I was the top African scorer, ahead of all Africans. I was ahead of Drogba, Adebayor... during that 2010 season. Maybe I didn’t deserve to be among the 23 in the Cameroon national team, but I deserved to be in the starting eleven, because I had an exceptional season and the whole world saw it.
