Former Cameroonian international Dorge Rostand Kouemaha has claimed he was superior to Samuel Eto’o, the legendary "Indomitable Lions" striker and four-time African Ballon d'Or winner.

Now retired, the Loum native spent most of his career in Europe, with stints in Greece, Belgium, Turkey, and Germany.

In an interview given to the platform “Passi Foot Invest,” he denounced the lack of recognition he received with the Cameroon national team, despite consistently finding the back of the net.

I was above everyone. With all due respect to Samuel Eto’o, I was better than him. That season, I was the top African scorer, ahead of all Africans. I was ahead of Drogba, Adebayor... during that 2010 season. Maybe I didn’t deserve to be among the 23 in the Cameroon national team, but I deserved to be in the starting eleven, because I had an exceptional season and the whole world saw it.

Dorge Rostand Kouemaha’s record with Cameroon

The former Eintracht Frankfurt player was limited to just five appearances for the Cameroonian national team, failing to register a single goal or assist.
