He revealed this during an interview on the Obi One podcast (YouTube channel of former Nigerian international John Obi Mikel).
When I visited Highbury Stadium, I told myself: one day, I have to play here. I didn’t have 75% of appearances with Côte d’Ivoire, so I couldn’t get a work permit. I was really sad.
Later, Yaya Touré managed to leave his mark with another English club, Manchester City, to the point of becoming one of the best midfielders in the world.

The former captain of the Ivorian national team now dreams of making a name for himself as a coach.
To achieve this goal, he earned all his coaching badges before honing his skills as an assistant coach at Olimpik Donetsk, Standard Liège, and with the Saudi Arabia national team.
